Senegal super player Sadio Mane was frequently caught in mistakes that forced him to pay a huge sum of fines during his time playing for Liverpool.

Sadio ended his six-year career at Liverpool in the summer after securing a transfer to German Bundesliga league at Bayern Munich Football Club .During his time in Liverpool ,Mane player 269 matches for the team and he scored 120 goals. The forward metamorphosed into one of the most high ranked players in the world and he had his hands on the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

Nevertheless, it was recently revealed by Andy Robertson, Sadio’s former teammate at Anfield that Mane was fined multiple times for forgetting his passport for away matches. The passport fines were very costly on the pocket and to the team organization and performance.

Andy Robertson also added that some of the fines we very costly.

Robertson also revealed that club captain and vice-captain are the ones in charge of the fine system.They are the ones who makes the decisions on fines .

Since Mane left for Munich ,Liverpool has faced a turn of events as they are struggling to replace Mane’s goals and his huge influence on the team.

Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League table with 29 points ,21 points behind Arsenal.

Mane’s early life

Sadio Mané was born in Bambali, Sédhiou, Senegal on April 10th , 1992. Not much is known about his parents,but what is known is that his father passed away when he was seven years old.
Mane was raised in a humble background and life became very strenuous after the death of his father .He couldn’t believe that his father was no more at first but he had to accept what had happened and move on.

His love for football grew in 2002 when Senegal managed to get to the quarter-finals in the FIFA World Cup edition.
It took a long time for Mane’s family to believe that football could earn one a living and that is when they decided to support him greatly.

Mane’s career
Sadio commenced his career at Metz B where he made 12 appearances and scored two goals .He later transferred to Metz where he made 22 appearances and scored two goals again.

In 2012 Sadio Mane quit Metz to join Red Bull Salzburg where he scored 31 goals in 63 matches. Southampton had an eye on him and they managed to pull of the transfer and Mane joined them in 2014.

His career was sky rocketing and he scored 21 goals for Southampton in 67 football matches.

Mane was at the peak of his career while at Southampton and Liverpool saw him as nan asset and they managed to convince him to join Liverpool where he made 196 appearances and scored 90 goals for The Reds.

Towards the end of the 2021/ 22 season with Liverpool, It was rumored that Mane had fallen out with Mohamed Salah the Egyptian Forward and that is when he decided to move to Bayern Munich.
Bayern had to pay $43.4 Million (KSh5.3 billion) to manage to get him to move to FCB. He has scored six goals in 14 appearances since he moved to the team.
