Sailors’ Gang fall out with former manager Mwalimu Rachel costs them big

Gengetone group Sailors’ gang are counting losses after falling out with their former manager Mwalimu Rachel.

Speaking in a recent interview, the group says they have been forced to open a new Youtube channel after their former manager denied them access to their old account.

The group which was under Mwalimu Rachel’s management for the last two years now claim she demanded more than a million shillings when they parted ways something they could not come up with.

“We respect her, we’ve come from far, but we didn’t expect this to turn out the way it did,” Miracle Baby said.

He further added that they are currently under Black Market Records and urged those looking to book them for a gig not to use Mwalimu Rachel.

“We have opened new YouTube channels and we are now signed under Black Market Records. If you book a gig with her, you will have been conned.” He added

The group has since released a new single called ‘Kulewa Kuchuchuma’ under their new management.

When the group first came into the limelight, all their content was uploaded under Mwalimu Rachel’s Youtube channel, sparking outrage among netizens. The conversation online then prompted their then management to open a Youtube channel in their name.

Mwalimu Rachel was not available for comment.
