“We should be taken care of we have kids who should go to school, no food, no shelter and no clothes. The fire left us in a very sorrow state and we should be given something tangible.” A victim told Ghetto Radio News.
Same sentiments were echoed by businessmen whose business premises were burnt.
“Mimi nilipoteza vitu za two hundred thousand and imagine how economy is the fact that I didn’t have house burnt do not make me a lesser beneficiary. The County Government of Nairobi must widen their scope and ensure we also recover from this tragedy. We also have families to feed and much is expected of us.” another victim added.
