Sheds For Hawkers

Sakaja also said that Nairobi county assembly allocated Ksh. 100 Milion that he will use to set up sheds for hawkers in town.

“A budget was read at the Country Assembly yesterday. In the budget, I have set aside Ksh. 100milion for the construction of a shelter for our hawkers in town who sell in corridors. It is not good for our people to be selling from the corridors yet they sell items like those who own stalls in the city,” said Sakaja.

The newly Mwariro market will accommodate 370 traders who will be paying a rent of  Ksh. 2000 per  month.
