Sauti Sol has been forced to cancel the second phase of their much anticipated concert.

According to a post on the Band’s social media accounts, the concert will not be happening on Saturday 28th March as planned. The band attributed the cancellation to the rising cases of Coronavirus in the country that currently stands at 28.

The concert was supposed to be compensated after the cancellation of their UK tour because of the pandemic.

Sauti Sol added that the concert would have meant the team would all gather under one roof at a time when the government has banned social gatherings.

The band also added that they will be dropping the second single off their album Midnight Train next Friday 3rd April to make the quarantine period entertaining and pleasant for their fans.

“We have to prioritize the urgent need for our band, friends, families and team safety. But hey, we still love you and we wanna make your lockdown and isolation worthwhile by dropping the second single off our upcoming album #midnight Train next Friday. April 3rd. Tell a friend. #Stayhome#Lockdown#Togetherathome” Read the statement
