Sauti Sol band member Bien has defended Tanzania musician Diamond Platinumz over his struggles with English language during the ‘Young Famous and African’ Netflix show.

This all started after Diamond was asked how old he was and he responded by saying he was 31st years old.

Bien said that people should stop judging Diamond yet he is out there making money through the show.

He also said, that Kenyans embrace other people who use broken English but react differently when it is someone from Africa.

“Hiyo ni upuzi naona watu wa French wakingoa English na hamuwachekeli mnaona ikiwa sexy. Watu wa German wanaongea English with an accent hiyo inamaanish you know another language apart from English. Mimi nasupport Diamond because one he is an amazing G, hizo vitu anafanya anamake money moves, anamake big moves. Naweza ambia watu waache kukuwa wajinga na English si major intelligence,” Bien Said.

He also acknowledged that Diamond is rich hence does not mind what other people say to him.

“Haijai kuwa maisha ya mtu. Diamond ananganji, anagrind videdly, hao watu huandika hizo vitu kwa twitter za hate, nawaonea huruma manze juu hakuna kitu hao watu wanajua. Mimi nikapewa chance siwezi enda, I just do not see myself in that genre of that kind of reality show. Ingekuwa more real ningeenda but hapo ndani kuna vitu real kama Diamond akiongelesha Zari but zingine hapana,” he added.

The musician also thanked the creators of the show for it will change how people view

“The show ni important sana vile watu wanaview Africa. It is important for Africa to be viewed as affluent. Nawapunga mkono wanafanya kitu poa sana. Good Job. I love how they try to make that look so African and for once we as Africans will be appreciated,” says Bien.
