Security tightened in Kibra after rowdy youth rough up Boni Khalwale

Police officers dispersed rowdy youth at Kibera’s DC grounds after rowdy youth roughed up former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.

The former legislator had visited Line Saba area and was on his way to  YMCA Polling Station where he was reportedly going to supervise the by-election when he was roughed up.

Khalwale however denied being rough up saying the area was very peaceful.

Makadara member of parliament George Aladwa who is ODM’s agent at DC polling station addressed the issue saying it was propagated by people holding meetings at polling centers.

“There are some MPs who are coming here, holding meetings when they know they have no business here. You cannot come to a polling station to hold meetings when you have no letter from your party saying you are an agent. Some MPs are just trying to bribe voters leading to chaos.” He said

Police were forced to fire in the air to disperse the rowdy youth who are said to have been mobilised at YMCA grounds in Laini Saba.
