Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago has been arrested.
His arrest comes hours after DPP approved charges levelled against him and arrest warrant was issued against him.
The warrant of arrest was issued after he allegedly failed to show up in Nakuru court for plea-taking.
Mandago was arrested at his residence and taken to the DCI regional office in Nakuru. He early posted on his social media account that he was on his way to the court.
The senator is among three other county officials in the police radar over the Finland and Canada Overseas Education Programme.

A Nakuru court issued the arrest warrant on Wednesday, ordering the arrest of the senator to face various charges in court.
The Senator has recorded a statement with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)and EACC for questioning.
