Shosh Mahewa gives the Ghetto Radio Van a sound system upgrade

Cecilia Wangari popularly known as Shosh Mahewa has given the Ghetto radio van a sound system make over.

This was after she made fun of the Van’s sound system saying it was an old model.

The new sound system courtesy of Shosh sounds is Bluetooth enabled and warranty insured.

Shosh made headlines when she was featured in several media houses  among them Ghetto radio for working despite her elderly age.

Shosh currently has fifteen youths working under her at her shop located along Outering road in Nairobi.


Ghetto radio crew interacted with two of Shosh’s clients who say they have known her for the past fifteen years and trust her with their cars because she gives quality service.

It is through her grandson, who she sponsored her for an electronics course, that Shosh learnt how to repair radios and fix speakers.

Narrating her journey to success journey Shosh Wangari says, as opposed to selling vegetables in the estates which are highly perishable, her goods can withstand low seasons with few customers.

A spot check at Shosh’s shop revealed a number of return clients from many years back who still trust her to handle their vehicles.
