Kisii Governor Simba Arati’s wife Christened Kwamboka has jokingly said that she won’t oppose her husband marrying other wives.

Kwamboka Warns Ladies

Speaking at a funeral in Kisii County, Kwamboka who also speaks the Kisii language invited interested ladies to present their requests for becoming Arati’s second or third wife emphasizing that they should not chase her away after they are married.

“Those who want to come and become a second or Third wife, come, I welcome you. You do not need to remove me before you come because I have to be the one who will welcome you,” She said

Kwamboka said that being the first wife, she is in charge and expressed her willingness to welcome new co-wives into the family.

She also cautioned her critics not to push for her deportation, stating that she would only return to her country when Governor Arati takes her back.

Arati Speaks

This even comes after the governor raised similar allegations suggesting that some Kisii residents were uncomfortable with his wife’s presence within the county offices.

“Those asking why she brings me food to the office, what is your concern? Are you planning to do something fishy to me?” he asked in a TV interview.

Arati while defending his wife said she was not helping him manage the county but was only complementing him as his better wife.

Arati and Kwamboka have been together for years. Kwamboka has been vocal and present in her husband’s political life.

She has been seen actively campaigning for him especially during Arati’s bid for the Kisii county gubernatorial seat.
