Six Alliance High School students have been released on cash bail of 20,000 shillings each after pleading guilty to assault charges.
The six are currently being held at the Kikuyu police station awaiting payment of bail by their parents.
Five of the students who are minors will be remanded at the Kiambu Children’s Home just in case their parents are not able to pay the cash bail on time.
The six were arrested after reports of bullying in the school surfaced following an investigation carried out by teachers employer TSC.
The report cited forms of harassment including being forced to lie on graveyards, swimming on grass, beatings and being denied meals.
