SJAK, Fidelity Insurance renew partnership

Fidelity Insurance has renewed its commitment to Kenyan Sports by renewing its partnership with the Kenyan Sports Journalists Association.

The new partnership to the will see SJAK receive Ksh. 1.365 million for the Coach of the Month award. As a result, every coach that gets voted as the best every month, will receive Ksh. 75,000 and a personalized trophy.

Nicholas Malesi, Fidelity Insurance’s Marketing and Business Development Manager, affirmed that they were keen on developing sports in the country, and that this partnership was just a small step in achieving their vision:

“As we all know, the economy has not been kind to us, it has not been rosy. However, we have managed to renew our partnership against all odds with SJAK, and I think that is a testament to say that we are in it for the long haul.”

SJAK president, Chris Mbaisi urged for more sponsorship to ensure that also the assistant coaches get rewarded:

“We also need to reward assistant coaches, they are also integral for a team’s good performance. We would not want them to feel left out.”

Mbaisi was speaking on the back of a recent mega-deal signing, with a leading electronics manufacturer.
