Legendary American rapper Calvin Broadus popularly known as Snoop Dogg is set to release his second gospel album dubbed “Alter Call” which is also a tribute to his late mother, Beverly Tate.
The highly anticipated album will drop on April 27, which would’ve been his mother’s 74 birthday.

Additionally, the album is a creation of Death Row Records.
According to Snoop, the new album will take listeners to church and move them closer to God.

Mother’s Photo On Cover Album
The cover album of Snoop’s “Alter Call” album features his late mother, Tate holding flowers emblazoned onto a fan on a rustic wooden surface.
The 21 track album features a list of celebrated stars like Jamie Foxx including the Death Row Mass Choir.
From the track list shared by Snoop, the first song is “Mother I Miss You” which is also slated for release on April 18.
Previously, Snoop released his first gospel album dubbed “Bible Of Love” in 2018.
Furthermore, Snoop noted that his mother’s spirit will forever live within him while pointing out the inspiration behind the new album.
Moreover, Snoop opined that the album is a reflection of his mother’s teachings, her encouragement of Snoop to use his voice and platform to spread love and heal the world.
“This album is a reflection of what she has taught me- to use my voice and my platform to spread love and heal the world” asserted Snoop partly.
Subsequently, Snoop added that the new album “Alter Call” is another chapter out of the previous album, Bible Of Love.
Snoop’s mother died in October 2021.
The Drop It Like It’s Hot hitmaker has in the past spoke highly of his mother who was a church choir director for years before her untimely passing.

Through a previous interview, Snoop revealed that his mother gave him the moniker “Snoop” due to his love for peanuts and Charlie Brown not to mention Snoopy who was his favorite cartoon character while growing up.
