Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has distanced himself with woes facing embattled speaker Nairobi county speaker Beatrice Elachi .
Sonko said Elachi was her boss at the senate in the last parliament and that they have been enjoying a cordial relationship therefore he could not have been behind her impeachment.
He now wants Elachi to solve her own issues with Nairobi MCAs saying the honorable members were acting within their powers and constitution.
Sonko however, made it clear that he will not appoint the deputy governor as per the 14 day ultimatum issued to him by the assembly and is still consulting widely before making the decision.
He said he is prepared for any impeachment motion against him.
