Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has finally been issued with the certificate of good conduct that he had yesterday alleged that was being held at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
In a post on his Facebook page late yesterday, Sonko paraded a number of documents requisite for one to run for elective office, including his KCSE certificate.
He was due to submit his papers at the Jubilee headquarters Friday morning ahead of the party deadline.
The Senator accused an unnamed Principal Secretary in the Office of the President of frustrating his bid for governorship by mounting hurdles for him to get clearance from the DCI.
Sonko and former legislator Margaret Wanjiru are the only remnants in a formation dubbed ‘Team Nairobi’ that sought to face former presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth in the battle for the JP gubernatorial ticket.
