Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has revealed that there at least 60 serving MPs who are battling cancer.
Sonko who was speaking at the Lee Funeral shortly after the announcement of Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso’s death stated that cancer has become a serious disease.
Just last week Kibra MP ken Okoth succumbed to colorectal cancer, a disease he bravely fought.
Before Okoth Baringo South MP Grace Kipchoim also died of cancer after battling the disease for quite some time.
In 2017 Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze died after fighting cancer for more than a decade.
Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu has openly stated that he is also battling the disease.
Apart from the MPs, dozens of Kenyans are also travelling to India everyday in a bid to seek treatment for the disease.
