Sonko Slams Nairobi MPs, Defends His Development Record
Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has slammed Members of Parliament who have been on his neck over his leadership style saying he will not be distracted by their utterances .
According to Sonko his development record will only be judged by his voters come 2022.
‘‘I want to tell these Members of Parliament that what i have done can only be seen on the ground .. but i want to advise them that they should follow what the president told them in Bomas yesterday.’’ Sonko said.
The same were echoed by Embakasi West Member of Parliament George Theuri who distanced himself from the MPS claims saying his contented with what the governor has done so far in Embakasi west.
‘‘We have a new fire station , new modern market and roads that are visible in Embakasi. I am satisfied with your leadership, continue doing more we are behind you and we shall stand with you, those making noise are not development oriented.’’ Theuri said.
They were speaking in Mama Lucy Hospital during the launch of queue management system in partnership with Old Mutual.
