Sonko Turns His Maanzoni Farm Into A Recreational Facility For Kids
After disbanding his “Sonko Rescue Team”,Nairobi’s flashy and philanthropic senator Mike Sonko has escalated n his philanthropic nature a notch higher after he launched a programme yesterday of shipping kids to his Manzoni farm to have fun.The farm is purely a recreational facility which will see kids have fun in the company of trainers.
The programme will see double decker buses with a carrying capacity of 150 each ferry kids to and fro Maanzoni to have fun.
However,Sonko is not the only person compassionate about kids but also Uganda’s and Africa’s top comesienne Ann Kaansime.
Apparently,Kaansime’s willingness of giving back to the society comes in the package of helping 30 students from 7 schools in northern Uganda,beginning with her own hometown!!!
Kaansime’s programme will be launched on March 24th,the very same date her new show #IAmKaansime.See what she posted on Instagram;
“THIS IS JUST A SNEAK PEAK ON THE UPCOMING #IAMKANSIIME SHOW PROGRAMME.
ON MARCH 24TH ON THE #IAMKANSIIME SHOW, I WILL BE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHING THE KANSIIME FOUNDATION. YOU HAVE SUPPORTED ME TOO MUCH MY NINJAS AND THIS HAS CONTINUOUSLY ENABLED ME TO DO WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS DESIRED TO DO FOR SO LONG. HELP THE NEEDY.STARTING THIS YEAR 2016 THE KANSIIME FOUNDATION WILL BE TAKING ON 30 CHILDREN FROM 7 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS IN WESTERN UGANDA (STARTING FROM MY HOME), THEN TAKE ON MORE FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AS GOD LEADS ME AND AS HE PROVIDES. YOU HAVE MADE THE SAYING “CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME” A REALITY FOR ME. THANK YOU. NO HEART.
On his end,Sonko took to his Facebook page to write the following caption below the photo below;
“Good morning watu wa Nairobi. Its healthy for your kid to do exercise everyday in the morning before going to school. My team has also launched a new program that offers free driving, swimming, keep fit, sports and computer lessons to pupils from all backgrounds within Nairobi City County at my Mombasa Road Maanzoni farm. We will be picking up and dropping off the kids using our teams’ double decker buses which have a capacity of carrying 150 pupils per trip. Lessons will be conducted by proffesional tutors. We shall soon open a registration centre at Uhuru Park so that we manage the numbers. Enjoy your day.”
