Sossion obtains orders allowing him to stay in office

Embattled Kenya National  Union of Teachers  Secretary General Wilson Sossion has obtained  an order from  labour relations court,  allowing him to stay as the KNUT secretary general  pending the hearing of his case on 10th June 2018.

Addressing the media today at KNUT headquarters  Sossion  down-played the decision by national executive council  to suspend him saying the NEC did not attain the required number to suspend him.

He  says  is going nowhere and that only  teachers through Annual Delegate Conference can remove him as the secretary general of the Union.

He further threatened to name certain government officials bankrolling the rebelling KNUT  leaders  should the disunity escalates.

In today’s press conference KNUT was fully guarded by private securities larger number drawn from COTU headquarters, a clear indicator that COTU secretary general  Francis Atwoli has honoured his Labour day pledge to support  Sossion.

Sossion is being accused of in indiscipline and not articulating teachers issues effectively from the day he was elected.
