Starehe MP Charles Njagua, aka Jaguar, has been arrested at parliament premises over xenophobic remarks he made recently against Ugandans and Tanzanians.
Jaguar was arrested by DCI Officers at parliament building.
Yesterday Jaguar disowned the remarks that he had called for the eviction of Tanzania and Uganda traders in Gikomba and Nyamakima markets.
The MP stated that ihis sentiments were directed to the Chinese traders who were operating in Gikomba illegally.
“My sentiments echoed yesterday with a directive to C.S Matiang’i was meant for the Chinese who have invaded our markets making businesses almost unbearable bearing for our citizens.I am not against any regional unions that are meant to promote both local and regional trade,” said Jaguar.
