Starlets Qualify for AFCON
The Kenya National Women’s team Harambee Starlets has booked themselves a ticket to the 2016 Africa Cup of Nations after holding their Algerian counterparts to a 1-1 draw in a return leg battled at the Safaricom Stadium Kasarani.
Starlets sails through for the first time ever on away goals after the teams tied 3-3 on aggregate. The two sides drew 2-2 in the first leg tie away in Algiers last Friday.
Algeria took the lead on the 21 minute with a goal from Naima Bouheni – just after Kenya had a goal disallowed for offside.
