The 2019/2020 football season is almost at a start and most of the teams in the leagues are making moves in terms of new signings with champions Kogalo’s newly appointed head coach Steven Polack set to bring new excitement in the season.
The 58-year-old English-Finnish born coach, who has been offered a two-year contract, was unveiled on Thursday as Hassan Oktay’s replacement alongside assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo and 17 new signings.
It is not the first time Steven Polack tried to be the coach of Gor Mahia but he also attempted to apply for the job in 2018 when Englishman Dylan Kerr left the club in December.
His first mission as the new head coach is to guide Gor Mahia in Sunday’s CAF Champions League first-round away tie against Burundi’s Aigle Noir CS, which the team is expected to leave for Bujumbura Saturday morning.
