A section of street children from Nairobi on Friday benefited from free make up and hairdo as a Valentine’s Day Service.
The Valentine’s treat was given to the street children courtesy of Beauty Point and Kentrak entertainment.
The street children were given hot showers at the Jivanjee Gardens, free make ups, manicure and pedicures.
The male also got free hair cuts, facials, massages and hot baths.
After the clean up and glamming sessions they were then treated to a hot dish by the organizers of the event.
Kennedy Onyango CEO Kentrak entertainment told Ghetto Radio News that he opted to give the special Valentine’s Day treatment to the street families since he was also once a street children and knows how tough it can be to live on the streets.
“I lived on the streets between 97 and 98. So after i made it in life, i decided not to forget the people who live in the same harsh condition that i once lived in,” said Onyango.
“If you look at my following you will realise that most of them were people who lived on the streets. Empowering them is my pleasure,” he said.
Mary Wanjiru a street child from Luthuli Street appreciated the service saying it made them feel loved.
