STUDENTS SEVERELY PUNISHED BECAUSE OF FEE ARREARS
Two girls from Balozi High School are nursing injuries after they were badly beaten by their teachers.
The two girls had allegedly been sent home for fee arrears but when they came back with the parents the next day the teachers summoned them to the staff room where they started beating them with a wooden stick.
They say they only stopped when the headteacher intervened. Cynthia one of the girls narrated her ordeal to Ghetto Radio saying she still doesn’t understand why they were beaten.
The Principal however denied them permission to seek medical attention until he realized that the wounds were getting infected.
He then dismissed them without taking up the responsibility of their medical expense.
The two girls got help from well wishers and later recorded a statement at the John Saga police station.
