Supermarket owners are the biggest losers in the 32 billion shillings 2018/2019 budget read today.

The budget read by Nairobi County Acting Executive for Finance  Charles Kerich  will see the supermarkets taxed money they  charge customers on bags which they use to carry goods.

According to Kerich the supermarkets are exploiting Nairobians because they use to give free paper bags for their services before  plastic ban was enacted.

Ksh 9.6 billion will be used in the development of old and new projects mainly the infrastructure.

The health docket has received  8 billion shillings which will go in expediting services at the level 4 hospitals  in a program lined to decongest Kenyatta National Hospital.

Meanwhile the 50 shillings levy for small vendors like mama Mboga has been reduced to 25 shillings weekly.
