Suspect In Brutal Kasarani Attack Identified As Former Kamiti Ex-Convict

One of the suspected thugs caught on camera shooting a shopper and a shop owner in Kasarani has been identified as former convict.

The suspect whose name has been withheld by the police had just concluded his term at the Kamiti Maximum Prison.

The ex convict together with his colleague whose identity is yet to be revealed early this month shot a shopper eight times during a robbery incident in Kasarani.

The shopper identified as Richard Muema was shot by the thugs when attempting to help the owner of the shop who had also been shot.

The thugs first wrestled him on the ground before going for the shop owner, upon regaining strength, Muema attempted to attach the thugs only to be meted a bigger force and shot before the thugs escaped.

Muema and the shop owner are currently admitted at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Muema is in the ICU, seven bullets have so far been removed from his body.
