An OB report made at Shinyalu Police Station states that Doris Achitsa, the owner of the stolen pig had called a female witchdoctor to perform witchcraft after she realized that her pig was missing.

The witchdoctor by the name Paul Okello after performing his craft then stated that whoever was responsible for the theft will be affected before morning.

“After police’s visit to the place, it was established that  a woman by name  Doris Achitsa cousin to Savala and employer to Abung’ana realised that her pig was missing and concluded that it was stolen. She later sought assistance from the ritualist from Bungoma, who came performed his rituals and left,” read the OB.

The OB further stated that the ritualist left instructions that whoever was to be affected should not be taken to the hospital but to be left in whatever state he or is till morning.

According to the police, the relatives of the victims insisted that the witchdoctor’s instructions should be taken.
