Swazuri speaks out on his involvement in the Ruaraka Land Saga

Thee National Lands Commission Chairman Mohammed Swazuri has said he will not resign over Ruraka land saga stating that they payment of 1.5b shillings was due and according to the law.

According to Swazuri former Education CS Fred Matiangi and former Attorney General Githu Muigai all confirmed that the Ruruaka land was private following two searches conducted by the lands ministry.

Swazuri, Matiangi,Belio and other two NLC commissioners are under probe with latest revelation by CS Amina Mohammed showing how the education ministry ignored internal report that declared the two rauarka schools are on public land.

Education CS Amina Mohamed on Monday stated that the law was not followed in the acquisition of the 13.5 Acre Ruaraka land.

Ms Mohamed, who appeared before the County Public Accounts and Investments Committee at the Senate, said the area is a public surrender land.

The government has already paid Sh1.5 billion for the land.
