“Switching from Gospel to secular does not mean I’m evil” Evlyn Mutua

Former gospel singer Ivlyn Mutua has opened up about the negative comments she has been receiving since she transitioned form Gospel to secular music.

Word broke that she has ditched the gospel industry after releasing her latest jam dubbed “Sham Sham” which is clearly not her usual style.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio, Mutua maintains that she is still very much in the path to Christ but decided to make a career change.

The singer says many people have been spreading lies that she is now a devil worshiper but says she is simply  a contemporary artiste that decided to reach out to a different crowd.

“I am a contemporary artist who will be singing about everything and not just Jesus, I still live for Christ but decided to do a career change” she said.

Mutua maintains she is a bold Kenyan artiste and as a lady the industry requires to do so.

The singer also revealed that her parents have no issue with her decision and even congregants at her home church where her parents worship have not shown any issue with her decision.

In 2015, the singer who brags of many musical styles was nominated for a Groove Award for ‘Delilah’ that she did with Hopekid .
