A section of Syokimau residents woke up to flooded carparks following the heavy downpour on Saturday night.
The night long rains that hit major parts of the country saw vehicles parked at the 360 apartments in Syokimau halfway submerged in the flooded waters.
It is not clear what might have caused the floods in the area but some residents alluded to poor drainage system while some stated that the floods might have been as a result of poor planning in the area.
A section of Kenyans however took advantage of the incident to make fun of the Valentine’s Day.
“Who is God? Hawa wanaume watakaa kwa nyumba Valentine… Drainage haina shida, it’s the Lord working in mysterious ways, ” wrote Kate Wa Gladys.
“Tutavaa tu gumboots na tusonge Valentine’s with our dates, what is rain?” wrote another social media user.
