The false death report was made via the official Twitter/X page of the Tanzanian police force this morning.

Tanzanian Police Force Regains Control Of Their Twitter/X Account
Moments after posting the false statement, it spread like wildfire from gossip sites, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok just to mention but a few creating widespread speculation.
However, it didn’t take long before the Tanzanian Police Force regained control of their official Twitter/X account despite the damage already done.
Mungu ailaze roho yake mahali pema” read the false statement alongside a portrait of President Suluhu.
After regaining control of their account, the Tanzanian Police Force kicked off by announcing that they’re on the hacker’s trail.
Additionally, the law enforcing unit condemned the act while affirming that they cannot disseminate such misleading information.
Subsequently, the police announced an end to further publication of the false death report.
However, a section of netizens have since ruled that Kenyans are behind the hacking following the recent deportation of Martha Karua from Tanzania where she had gone to represent Tanzanian Opposition Chief, Tundu Lisu.
