Teachers strike will not affect exams in any way – KNUT

Kenya National  Union Of Teachers  KNUT has rubbished claims that the union wants to interfere with  national exam program  that is about to begin.

In an interview with Ghetto Radio News KNUT Deputy Secretary General  Hezborn Otieno says  the union  has a problem with employer the Teachers Service Commission but not the ministry which is in charge of national examination.

Otieno says that should the teachers strike before the exams, all teachers  selected to be invigilators will proceed with their assignments as directed  by the  Kenya National Examination Council .

Meanwhile  TSC has not  responded to the union concerns despite KNUT  issuing a threat  strike over the same.

According to KNUT they demand delocalization policy scrapped off as directed by the president.

They also want staff assessment form filled by teachers daily be abolished failure to which they shall  strike.
