Kenya National Union Of Teachers KNUT has rubbished claims that the union wants to interfere with national exam program that is about to begin.
In an interview with Ghetto Radio News KNUT Deputy Secretary General Hezborn Otieno says the union has a problem with employer the Teachers Service Commission but not the ministry which is in charge of national examination.
Otieno says that should the teachers strike before the exams, all teachers selected to be invigilators will proceed with their assignments as directed by the Kenya National Examination Council .
Meanwhile TSC has not responded to the union concerns despite KNUT issuing a threat strike over the same.
According to KNUT they demand delocalization policy scrapped off as directed by the president.
They also want staff assessment form filled by teachers daily be abolished failure to which they shall strike.
