demoTension is still high in Mathare’s Mlango area just a day after three people were killed following ethnic clashes.

Residents of the area say they fear the clashes might happen again if more efforts are not put to quell the two ravaling communities.

They claim tribal issues have so deep in the area that habours different tribes.

“People live in fear here because this is not the first time this has happened and it can never stop unless the leaders of the two communities sit down and talk to their people,” said a resident.

Three people were killed yesterday during the clashes that saw two people hacked to death and one person lynched.
