The Hollywood Foundation partners with ForAfrika and Jesus Alive Gospel Outreach to bring hope to Riondonga Secondary School in Kenya

The Hollywood Foundation was happy to partner with ForAfrika and Jesus Alive Gospel Outreach, through a contribution of KSH 504 000 that went towards purchasing a water tank, seeds and gardening equipment for Riondonga Secondary School’s garden in Kenya.

ForAfrika, previously known as JAM International, offers food security and livelihoods programme interventions that are designed to improve food security, uplift women, improve nutritional outcomes, improve skills, develop stability and resilience and empower and restore dignity. The organisation has grown to deliver a variety of localised programme interventions in six African countries, including Kenya.

ForAfrika, Jesus Alive Gospel Outreach and Hollywood Foundation chose to improve nutrition and educational outcomes for Riondonga Secondary School. The hand over took place on Africa Day on 25 May 2022 and tied into the theme for this year, “The Year of Nutrition”. The contribution of a water tank, seeds and gardening equipment will help the school to expand their existing activities, which will have a greater impact on the school and the surrounding community.

As part of ongoing celebrations for Africa Day, the Hollywood Foundation and ForAfrika were also involved in similar initiatives in South Africa and Mozambique that will help to improve the quality of life for even more children across the continent.

Sindile Kubayi, the Corporate Partnerships Lead from ForAfrika (South Africa), said, “It is thanks to compassionate people and organisations like the Hollywood Foundation that ForAfrika continues to save lives and transform communities. We look forward to a day of bonding with the Hollywood Foundation team while we engage in activities that will contribute to giving children the future they deserve!”

“The Hollywoodbets Kenya Team is really excited to attend the first Hollywood Foundation project in Kenya, Kisii Country, Southwestern Kenya. This is a very exciting project which focuses on the year of Nutrition, which is the theme for 2022, and we hope that it will encourage sustainability in the community”, said Opanga Collins, the Regional Manager for Hollywoodbets Kenya.
