Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has now accused the government of attempting to plant drugs and guns on his son Jomo Kenyatta during a raid at their residence in Karen last week.

Speaking candidly in an interview with various media house editors today, Uhuru has strongly denied allegations that his son possessed illegal firearms saying the claims were mere government propaganda.

“I believe they wanted to plant drugs in my son’s compound, “

he revealed.

“This gun issue is surrounded by lots of propaganda to divert attention from what has been happening,”

Expressing deep hurt and disbelief, the former President condemned the government’s alleged actions, stating that he could not fathom how they could resort to such tactics against his own Family

Uhuru Not Drunk

He disclosed that he rushed to his son’s side immediately after being notified of the operation, further dismissing any speculation that he was intoxicated during the incident.

“I went because of a distress call from my son, I was not drunk, and I was extremely hurt,”

The Former President has intimated that both his sons Jomo and Muhoho had a total of six licensed guns contrary to reports. He further clarified that his daughter Ngina Kenyatta does not have any firearms.

Mama Ngina Kenyatta’s Security

Regarding the withdrawal of his mother’s security (former first lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta), Uhuru said he decided to share his own security personnel with her.

In recent times, the government has accused the former President of sponsoring ongoing anti-government protests in the country, which have been triggered by the high cost of living.

However, Uhuru Kenyatta denied any involvement in such activities terming them mere Propaganda.
