Thousands Of Football Fans Get A Chance To Take A Photo With The Trophy

Over five thousand football fans and Coca-Cola consumers got the chance to take a photo with the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy yesterday at the KICC during the second day of the trophy tour to Kenya.

The day kicked off with long queues of fans who had arrived at the venue from as early as 6 am for a chance to have a moment with the world’s most covented football prize.

The football fans got the individual opportunity to take a photo and record a memorable moments with the trophy that makes the global tour every 4 years across various countries in the world.

“Our consumers have had the chance to view the trophy which is the core purpose of todays event. We have witnessed long queues since morning and the fans have been very patient as they wait for their turn to take a photos with the trophy.

I wish to thank everyone who has made the two day trophy tour a success” said Miriam Limo, Marketing Manager, Coca-Cola- Kenya.

The trophy arrived in Kenya on the 26th May at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport and it was later received by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta at Statehouse Nairobi.

The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola kicked off on May 12 in Dubai, and will visit 51 countries across various continents for the next six months leading up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.

The Coca-Cola Company has had a long-standing relationship with FIFA since 1976 and has been an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup™ since 1978. 

Coca-Cola has had stadium advertising at every FIFA World Cup™ since 1950 and is a long-time supporter of football at all levels.

This is the fourth time that Coca-Cola and FIFA have come together to bring the Trophy Tour to the world.
