President Uhuru Kenyatta has made a cabinet reshuffle that has seen three Cabinet Secretaries moved to different dockets.
The reshuffle announced by State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena has seen Defence CS Monica Juma moved to the Energy docket, Energy CS Charles Keter moved to Devolution and Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa moved to Defence.
“Cabinet Secretary Ambassodor Dr. Monica Juma moves from the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of Energy, CS Hon. Charles Keter moves and becomes the secretary of Devolution, CS Eugene Wamalwa now takes over the ministry of defense,” announced Dena.
Cabinet Secretary Margaret Kobia however retained her ministry but with a bigger portfolio.
“CS Margaret Kobia retains her portfolio but as we saw earlier, she got more duties and with the new ministry it will now be the Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs and Special Programmes,” said Denna.
Four Principal Secretaries have also been moved in the reshuffle.
The four Principals include Major General RTD. Gordon Kihalangwa Public Works moves to Energy, Engineer Joseph Njoroge has been moved to Transport, Solomon Kitungu moves to Public works, Nelson Marwa moves to Department for Social Protection, Senior Citizens Affairs& Special Programmes.
