Singer and rapper Dyana Cods behind the now viral hit, Set It with Ajay of Buruklyn Boyz has revealed that TikTok blew up the song.
In a recent media engagement, Dyana credited a few TikToker’s for making the song viral through dance challenges.
According to Dyana, she released the song into the market sometime in July and it had no buzz.
However, the song blew up following the efforts of TikTok dance challenges.
“It wasn’t gathering any traction then all of a sudden it’s just I think…the TikTokers, they did the most man, they used the track and it just went viral, there’s Diaso, there’s Ramu, there’s Pappy Roman those three I feel like they need so much credit for this song…It was doig nothing until they hoped onto to it” she asserted partly.
Change Of Trend
Dyana noted that following ‘Set It’s’ success, there has been a change of trend in her lifestyle in regards to her music.
She explained that breaking into the mainstream world is not easy.
However, she disclosed that when the tide has suddenly changed following her song’s success.
She no longer hustles for interviews since her song has done the donkey work for her.
The song which has a dancehall vibe is Dyana’s creation while coming out of her comfort zone.
In the past, she was known for drill music where she cemented her space as far as drill is concerned.
She further noted that it’s good to experiment with other sounds while working on ones catalogue.
The 25 year old has been in the game for quite sometime now, some fans got to know her through working with Wakadinali who’ve signed her to their label, Zozanation.
She was in Morio Anzenza, Riswa and Mahorns just to mention but a few.
