Arbantone’s freshmen Tipsy Gee and Ebola Mkuu have dropped a tribute dedicated to the fallen veteran reggae MC Mary Njambi Koikai popularly known as Fayah Mummah Jahmby.

The two minute and fourty five seconds song also features Jahmby’s iconic voice at both the intro and the outro.

Jahmby’s voice is heard marking her return to the stage following a series of surgeries which kept her away from the entertainment scene for over two years.

She shares that she’s still trudging on after undergoing twenty one surgeries.

“Are you ready(heavy applause) alright, I go by the name of  Jahmby Koikai alongside Selector Technics yeah man, It’s all about conquering surviving I survived twenty one surgeries and we say God is good and thank you all for your support and I just wanna say” goes the intro.

A go-getter

Tipsy Gee holds the first verse and he proceeds to pour his heartfelt condolences affirming that Jahmby was a go-getter.

He further adds that she will be truly missed by all and sundry.

Tipsy Gee’s short verse also extends to the tribute’s chorus.

“The strength of a woman si size ya muscle ni venye anajituma, daily anapiga hustle si mtumwa anakula jasho yake, hakuna kubaki nyuma, mbele anatupa macho, Koikai, Jah Jah akuweke fine, tutapatana tena ikifika yetu time, so fly ukasalimie christ itafika tu matime wanare tutarewind” he raps partly.

Ebola Mkuu comes through in the second verse affirming that Jahmby’s passing on came as a shocker.

He further adds that Jahmby was leading the pack when it came to reggae vibes.

He continues that despite her demise she’s now in a better place.

“Super fem c kwa reggae hiyo ni blunder na bado number one ndio ilikua yake number kuijtambua ndio ilifanya akasimama for real imenistua kuskia umehama but niko very sure huko juu ndio umehama” he raps partly.

The song’s video was shot at night depicting Jahmby’s demise, there are also cut-outs of Jahmby’s portrait appearing at intervals.
