Tony Wabuko of Kapsabet High School , is the best student in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education scoring an A plain of 87.159 points.
He was followed closely by Barasa Njeri of Kenya High School who scored A plain of 87.087 points.
Kaboge Odhiambo from Kapsabet High School got an A of 87.080 points. Anthony Owuor got an A of 87 points while Natasha Wawira of Kenya High School got an A of 86.9 points.
Releasing the exams today education cabinet secretary George Magoha stated that , there was much improvement compared to the last year results.
‘‘Our teachers worked very hard and we had more A plains of 627 compared to 315 of last year therefore it means there was no leakage.’’ Magoha said.
Meanwhile Kenya High is the top school this year with 76 points ,followed by Kapsabet High School with 49 points while Alliance High School came third 48 points.
Giants like Pangani Girls School, Starehe high school and Maranda High School were nowhere in the top ten best schools.
Students also did well in Kiswahili,English ,Physics,CRE and Biology subjects this year.
A total of 699,745 students sat for this year’s examinations, which were concluded on November 27.
