Traders along Jogoo Road near City Stadium woke up to a rude shock following an overnight’s demolition of their business stands.
City County officials led an overnight demolition of the business premises which are allegedly on road reserves.
The traders claim the demolitions were conducted without any notice.
On Tuesday property worth thousands of shillings was destroyed when county officials demolished business premises along Dennis Pritt Road without notice.
“How do you demolish businesses without giving notice to the traders? This is inhuman and unlawful. Now we have lost thousands of shillings and no one is talking to us about compensation,” said a trader.
The traders some of them suffered injuries from the armed men.
“They came armed with axes and pangas and brought down our businesses. Some even went to an extent of hitting and injuring us,” said a trader.
