18

A tribunal led by Justice Mumbi Ngugi has recommended the removal of Judge Said Chitembwe from office over gross misconduct.

The tribunal was set up by former President Uhuru Kenyatta following recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

The report was received by President William Ruto at statehouse, Nairobi this afternoon.

The tribunal was formed following petitions filed against the Judge including former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko who accused the Judge of being corrupt.

Chitembwe has ten days to appeal the decision of the tribunal.
