The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party is in trouble this is after former nominated senator Millicent Omanga came out to criticize the party’s secretary general Cleophas Malala for allegedly appointing his relatives and friends to key positions within the party secretariat.

Omanga took to socio media to accuse Malala of incompetence claiming that Malala is wrecking the party  that played a big role in securing President William Ruto’s victory in the 2022 General Election.

“Acquaintances, relatives and hangers-on who contributed absolutely nothing to the growth of UDA party effectively and intentionally abandoning hardworking and dedicated hustlers who watered the rise of UDA with their sweat and sacrifice. It has come a time that we must call a spade a spade and make the office of the SG work,”She posted on X platform.

Party Appointments

She said that dedicated hustlers who played a crucial role in forming the party were being sidelined in favor of Malala’s personal connections who, according to her, contributed nothing to the party.

“We won’t allow our party to be run by an individual who doesn’t carry H.E. President William Ruto’s vision. All party members who fought for the party must get their fair share in the management of the party, or the chips will fall,”

Among the notable appointments, Alfred Makotsi was unveiled as the new principal assistant, while Victor Welden assumed the role of the new political advisor in the executive office of the secretary general.

Patience Kiti was named the office manager, Arnold Maliba became the strategic communications advisor, and Joseph Akwiri took on the role of media liaison manager, among other appointments.
