Mauritania goalkeeper Babacar Niasse was put under pressure throughout the match by the three-time semi-finalists, and made two excellent saves as the full-time whistle neared.
But he was wrong-footed by Traore after Mohamed El Abd fouled Issa Kabore in the penalty box, with the referee giving the spot-kick after a consultation with VAR.
