Tusker Fc tactician Robert Matano has won the Coach of the year accolade for the second time with the Ruaraka based side at the FKF Kenya Premier League Awards.
Matano helped the brewers win the 12th league title dislodging Kenya Premier League Giants Gor Mahia’s dominance.
In the award Matano beat KCB Coach Zedekiah Otieno who helped the bankers finish in the second spot in the league and Frank Ouna who helped Mathare United evade relegation with a spirited performance in the last five games.
The win is a repeat of a fete he did with Sofapaka in 2019 in their maiden season at the top flight league and the third as a coach having won in 2009 with Sofapaka.
In other categories Erick Kapaito was crowned the Most Valued Player of the FKF Premier League 2020/21 season.
He also got the Golden Boot Award after bagging 24 goals in the season.
