Tusker sign former Ligue 1 player
Former League 1 side Nice youth team player Luis Tera Misiko has joined SportPesa Premier League side Tusker Fc for the 2016 season.
Misiko who played for Nice in the reserve team left the club after not breaking to the main team. Speaking to Ghetto Radio Misiko said that he opted to come back in the Country in order to rediscover his form.
The former JMJ Academy and Umeme Bees player has joined 9 others in the Ruaraka based side among them Sofapaka FC trio of Collins Shivachi, Anthony Ekaliani Ndolo and David Okello , with Jackson Macharia signed from Thika United.
Others include Shafiq Batambuze from Western Stima, Former AFC Leopards defender Martin Kiiza, Fred Nkata from Nairobi City Stars, former Western Stima under 19 striker Labana Gambareko.
According to Head Coach Paul Nkatta apart from winning silverwares the team aims to nurture players and help them feature in their respective National teams.
The Ugandan Nkata signed a two year contract replaced Francis Kimanzi who ‘stepped aside’ from his duties last year .
He will be assisted by George Owoko, a CAF C license holder in the capacity of assistant coach.
The club released nine players upon the conclusion of their contract.
Those who were released include Jesse Were who joined Zambian side Zesco United, midfielder Kelvin Kimani , Joackins Atudo who has Joined Rangers , Emmanuel Ngama , Aziz Kemba , Fredrick Onyango , Dennis Nzomo , Dennis Nganga and Abdalla Juma.
Tusker opens the season away to Thika United on the 13th of February 2016 at Thika Stadium.
