Two general service Unit (GSU) officers were arrested in Isiolo County on Sunday while allegedly trafficking Bhang.
A multi-agency special operation team based at the Archer’s Post said it intercepted two vehicles trafficking bhang, one of which belongs to the GSU and the other civilians.
The two vehicles were intercepted separately at the Gorti-Merti Junction in Isiolo County.
During the operation, police seized 124 bales of Bhang cumulatively amounting up to 600 kilograms.
Among the suspects arrested are Police Constable Patrick Kinyua who was driving the GSU truck and Sergeant Shariff Mohammed.
The two officers are attached to the Mariera Camp in Igembe Central.
