Two people who escaped from the KMTC quarantine facility earlier this week have been arrested.

The two who are part of the 50 who had been reported to have escaped from the facility were nabbed by officers at Marurui along the Thika Super Highway.

Police officers also recovered a laptop believed to have been stolen from the quarantine center before the escape.

The suspects were taken to the Kasarani area chief’s camp awaiting the police to record their statements.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday said that the escapees would be arrested and taken back to complete their quarantine period.

The officers are still searching for the other group that escaped on Monday evening after taking advantage of the rains.
