Two Nairobi MCAs have been arrested in unclear circumstances. The two Mabatini MCA Wilfred Odalo and his Ngei ward counterpart Redson Otieno were nabbed today afternoon by the DCI sleuths.
According to Odalos’ legal team the they were whisked away by the DCI officers who did not identify themselves.

“I got reports of their arrests around 3pm we are not aware of their crimes …the tension is in deed high our members now live in fear of impending arrest but we are unbowed. To our police officers please avoid being used by Kenya Kwanza politicians to frustrate our members.” Majority leader Peter Imwatok told the media.

Meanwhile while Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna has maintained that they will not be intimidated by the police urging them to uphold the the rule of law.
“Sisi hatuogopi mtu yeyote wewe Toka nje Linda mwananchi lakini ukitupiga sisi pia hatutanyamaza.” Sifuna said.
