Two people were arrested today along Shimo La Tewa road in Nairobi’s industrial area and unknown number of assorted gas cylinders netted in an illegal gas refilling plant.
Officers from the Anti Counterfeit Agency and Energy Regulatory Commission bounced on valley gas plant and found them refilling cylinders of total, K gas, Oillibya and other assorted brands.
Thomas Ondieki an inspector of Anti Counterfeit Agency who led the operation said Valley Gas has evaded all the safety measures and is putting lives of people in the surrounding at risk.
The operation to fight illegal re-fillers is still on in Nairobi and will move countrywide.
The two will be arraigned in court once investigations are completed.
